Tonight 9 years ago, I was laying in bed wondering why you weren't moving. Why? WHY? Life would be so different if I would have or could have done something. But it just wasn't meant to be. You were too perfect for this crazy, scary fast paced world. You have a bigger mission in heaven. I know that you are not alone. That Grandma is now with you, embracing and watching over you. It brings me comfort knowing that she is there with you. I found a picture the other day of your funeral. It was at the graveside service. There were several people standing around, but one in particular stood out. Grandma Gedge (or as my kids called her Mamoo). She was looking down at the casket with the most peaceful look on her face. As if, she knew something I did not. She loved babies and was heart broken to loose you too. At her funeral this past January, her former boss stood and gave a beautiful talk about Donna. But the part that stood out to me was their conversations they would have about the afterlife. She was devastated to have lost you, but knew that her Dad would be there with you. I wish that I would have known how much it affected her. I miss her so much too. But I know that on the eve of your birthday, SHE is with you. She is comforting you. She is there. Because the second best thing to a mothers love, is a grandmas love. Please know that I miss you daily. That the family is just not complete without you here. And I love you always and forever!
