6 years?

I seriously can't get over that six years ago this Sunday, we said hello and goodbye to our sweet perfect baby boy. So much has happened since then, but looking back, it feels like last week. I can still remember the nurses name, the smell of the cold hospital, the look on my husbands face as he entered the room, the outfits they had me choose from..I am grateful that I still feel and remember that moment in time, and I fear the day when I can't. It has been a year since I posted last. Not because I have been lazy, well, I just don't have a good excuse. I even thought about deleting this blog. But I would be deleting all the comments and pictures and memories that have been made. I have met some incredible angel moms and wouldn't change that for anything. I am grateful to all of you who are still reading this blog! Thanks! this Sunday will be a somber day. But something new this year, we are going to attend the First Presidency Christmas Devotional. I think it is fate that it is on Taylor's birthday. We can enjoy the lights at Temple Square and be able to take in the real reason for this season in our hearts. If you can,in light of it being his 6th birthday at 6:00 Sunday evening, light a candle in memory of my sweet Taylor James. :)

5th birthday!

Well, it has come and gone... We visited the grave has a family, gave him a balloon, and sang to him. It is just so sad to me that we have to do this at a cemetary, not at our house. He should be here with us!

Our kids decided to TAKE 5 for Taylor and make cookies and brownies for people in our ward who have recently suffered a loss. It was a neat experience to watch my kids make everything and take them to their doors. It made me feel good inside and I know Taylor was happy with their choice to serve.

We ended what seemed to be a LONG day (suffering from a nasty head cold) with going through Taylor's box. His baby blankets, his hat, his shoes that Santa was going to bring him that year, all the sympathy cards... I found one that my grandma wrote and I broke down. I miss them so much...

My best friend and her family (Atherley's) donated 20 pounds of food to the Food Bank in his honor yesterday.. I appreciate the love and support from them and everyone that took part in service yesterday! I truly have amazing friends and family!

I miss you and love you Tay more than anything! I know that you are watching over our family and we WILL see you again.. It was an honor to serve in your name and I know that you were proud to watch it happen. You are the missing link in our family and I can't wait for the day to fill in that missing piece. Love you forever and always! Love, mommy
